Andre Schembri was on the score sheet for Ferencvaros this afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to take a point against BFC Siofok in the NBI Hungarian League. Maltese starlet Schembri, wearing his now recognizable number 27 on his back for the Fradi was inspiring and motivated from his recent performances with his club and netted his 2nd goal of the season.

With the Maltese Premier League due to start this month we are going to see 3 local Maltese youngsters making their debuts as they returned after a short spell playing their trade abroad.

The 3 players all of them under 19 years of age are some of the most promising athletes in the Maltese ranks. In the reserve league match against Derby County the Blades, who featured several first team players in their starting eleven got defeated 2-1 away from home.

With Daniel Bogdanovic, Rob Kozluk and Mark Yeates starting brightly for the blades, it was Malta’s striker to show his class and to score the only goal for Sheffield Utd reserve team. Malta’s international Etienne Barbara was back on the score sheet for his club, as he grabbed the winner to put the Carolina Railhawks in the 2nd position in the NASL Conference League.

Carolina Railhawks fought back against Miami FC after they conceded  a goal in the 49th minute. They levelled the score thanks to Gregory Richardson on the 71st minute but after 3 minutes the ‘Wayne Rooney of Malta’ as they call him, notched the winner for the orange.
